Are We All Lost Stars Trying To Light Up The Dark? Quote Page Explained
This was not a post I planned for tonight. But I suddenly had an idea of something that I wanted to get off my chest so I thought I would put it into words. I also went to see some fireworks last weekend and wanted to share some of those photographs and they definitely go with the title of this post. Do you ever feel lost? Like you don’t know what you're going to do with the rest of your life! Then right back at ya gal! I’m feeling exactly like that now.
Are We All Lost Stars Trying To Light Up The Dark? quote page explained
Some days you can feel completely lost. Maybe it’s because you don’t know what you want to do for a job, or you just don’t know what to do next in another aspect of your life. That’s okay. It’s okay to not have your life together all of the time. Nobody can have all of there stuff together all of the time. We are all human, we will all make mistakes. It can be the best way to grow and become a stronger person. With these ‘lost’ moments you can learn what you believe is the most important thing to you at that time. And that makes you more motivated to go after whatever you are passionate about.
It can also be pressurising to get your ‘sh*t together’ by a certain time frame. But there’s no such thing. What one person classes as ‘got their life in order’ might be completely different to someone else’s definition of it. If you need some time out to actually realise what you want in life, that’s ok too. Don’t let other people’s preconceived ideas rule over you, or you’ll never feel like you have ‘made it’.
I’m feeling lost because I’m in the middle of finishing university and trying to find a job. It’s so weird (and boring) being home all the time. I don’t feel that I’m putting anything into society and not getting anything out of it either. Apart from writing posts for my blog and applying for jobs is all I seem to go day in day out. The blog part I love! But applying for jobs can be such a bore! The constant rejection and never really knowing what the employer wants from you can make you feel completely lost.
I know I’ll find a job eventually but at the moment it’s just grinding on me a little. I know I have a lot to give and I want to be earning money so that I can start building a life for myself. Plus, having my own income to buy some new clothes and furnishings for my bedroom will be quite lovely too. I have so much I want to do in my life, and money is at the heart of that. This means I need to find a job!
I’ve also always dreamed of having a career, not just a time filler. This is also putting pressure on myself because I want to pick a workplace that I am going to enjoy and love my time there. I know that can take years to find too.
Feeling lost also makes the times that you achieve something to be that much more special. You need to remember that any achievement large or small needs to be celebrated. It’s part of your own journey to get to where you want to grow as a person.
