My Blogging Bullet Journal
Last month I decided to use my brand new Rhodia notebook as a blogging notebook. As my weeks are so unpredictable and I cannot plan that far ahead. I haven't needed a bullet journal as much, so I thought as I would do a blogging one, as there is always a list of things I need to do with my blog and I just need an overall list to keep going back to over the month when I get the chance. I am such a big dreamer, I have so many dreams and ideas of how I want this blog to look but putting them into practice is where I become lost. I never know where to start and I find lists a great way to break down anything I need to do into manageable chunks.
My Blogging Bullet Journal
I have bought some stencils to help decorate my bullet journal faster, because I want to reduce the amount of time that I spend making my journal look pretty and actually get on with the productive things! I have been loving experiementing with them during these page spreads and they are a great accessory to buy for your Bullet Journal if you don't think you are arty!
Index Page & Focus Page
I definitely needed an index for this bullet journal because there are so many different pages and I have actually spent time filling it in which is unusual for me, I never normally need one. I also wanted a page where I could flip back to if I ever forgot the reason why I started the blog. I have put my focus in which is trying to help people become more productive in a creative way, through my hobbies which are art, photography and bullet journaling. I have also created some goals and a schedule of when I want new content sent out. This is such a great page to flick back to whenever I lose my focus or motivation.
Blog Post Ideas Page
This page is pretty self-explanatory, I think of some blog posts and write them down. I am much better at thinking off ideas for my blog when I am not on the computer or phone, that's why sometimes I hand write my blog posts first then write them up later. When I get an idea I am never on my computer to write it down on the spreadsheet that I have on here so I need a designated area to scribble something down or I'd forget what my idea was. I used the stencils a lot on this page, they had those squares and arrows on them so I just used them and I love how neat it makes my page look. If I were to draw this free hand all my boxes would be wonky and the arrows would be a different size.
Instagram & Twitter Hashtags
I saw that Megan from lazythoughts.co.uk had done a bullet journal spread with all the Instagram hashtags she uses and I thought this was a really good idea. I have also made a page for Twitter retweet accounts and when the chats on Twitter take place- otherwise I never remember when they are on.
Social Media Goals & Promotion Strategy
I thought it would be a good idea to just map out some goals and promotion strategy for my blog and social media channels. I know it is not about the numbers but it is so rewarding to know that your efforts are helping you improve your audience and that relates to the followers and email subscribers that you gain.
Instagram Stories Schedule
I have to start using Instagram stories more! So I thought it would be a good idea to create a schedule of consistent posts to put out there so I always have something to post. Then I can add other stories on those days about what I am actually doing, or behind the scenes. I now just need to implement them to my day to day life.
This is my blog planner so far, I will let you know what other pages I put into it as I go along. Do you have a blog planner? What pages do you put into it?
I have put a free printable in my resource library of some different page ideas that you can include in your own bullet journal. Click the link below if you want access to it!
