2017 Blog Post Round-Up
I am so glad that I started this blog this year and made the leap to being self-hosted on Squarespace. I have learnt so much and I am hoping to learn a lot more next year. I thought it would be a good time to reflect on my personal top posts of this year. The ones that I am most proud of are the ones that weren't planned. They were thought of sporadically and written that night otherwise I would have been too scared that I would forget my awesome idea.
2017 Blog Post Round-Up
#1 Are We All Lost Stars Trying To Light Up The Dark
This was one of my favourite post that was written on the same night as it went up because it was something that just came to me on the spur of the moment. I think everyone has times when they feel lost because no-one can predict what's going to happen in the future, and I have felt lost this past couple of months and I think it is also relatable to other people.
#2 Why I Am Cool With Being An Uncool Blogger
Another post that I wrote on the spur of the moment. I had a stage where I just felt like I didn't fit in with the other bloggers out there because I am not a fashion or beauty blogger. I have discovered that it is perfectly fine to be unique in the blogosphere and to post a blog post that you are passionate about, then the right people will come to you.
#3 10 Thoughts Every Girl Has Whilst Getting Ready
I had so much fun writing this post and they are all genuine things I think about when I get ready for a night out, they may not all happen on one night but I have had these thoughts at some point. I never realised how complicated us girls make it to just go out, I don't think guys have this issue.
#4 Untrue Phrases In Art
I wanted it to be shown that anyone can be creative and people need to start believing that they can do something rather than putting barriers up. Yes, you might need to practise it every day but nobody gets good at something without practising the craft you want to get better at.
#5 Art Through Time
I wanted a post that I could see how much progress I have made throughout my art journey. I wanted to not compare myself to anyone else and just focus on my own achievements. Too many times we are comparing ourselves to other people rather than seeing how far we have come. I am so proud of how far my art has come and I wanted a reminder that I am always improving and to believe in myself more.
These are my favourite blog posts of this year. I definitely need to do more spontaneous posts as they seem to be the ones that I love the most. Hopefully, I will continue to produce blog posts in the future that I am proud off and build up my portfolio.
