Over the Easter holiday, my family and I decided to go to Jersey for a short getaway as this is the only slot that we all had time off together. Whilst we were there we visited: castles, war tunnels and many beaches.
“The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it.” Isn’t Rafiki a smart cookie? Simba learnt a very important lesson that day and it made me reflect on what I seem to do when there is something difficult to overcome.
I have loved this learning curve through daily blogging, I have learnt so much about myself and what this little corner of the internet means to me. I am not afraid of it anymore and I want people to know about it.
What a month, I have been to Jersey and had a very relaxing Easter holiday, and blog photos can be taken in the evening now too. I have been writing blog posts every day this month and I am so glad that I have managed to do it!
Applying for a job can be disheartening- like seriously, jobs are worse than men. The constant rejection and being "ghosted" on when you don't hear anything from them for a week and then you need to move on to the next.
I have been making more of an effort to explore places that are close to us because you don’t need to go abroad to find amazing places and different days out. There are so many places that could be explored right under your nose. I have been to a couple of places in Surrey and there are so many more places that I have not yet investigated but they will be on my to-do list.
I’ve written blog posts about what I wanna do before in 30, places I wanna go in America and Australia. So I thought I would do a blog post of things that I have done which I can come back and add to it.
I used to have a very strong evening routine until I hit university and my sleep patterns went all over the place. It didn’t help that the fire alarms always used to go off at stupid o’clock in the morning. Oh, the joys of university.
I read Hannah Gale’s blog post about the shift in blogging, where people are changing their blogging habits to microblogging instead of reading blog posts. Instagram has allowed a shift in blogging habits, where little snippets of content of some one’s day can be viewed at any time so there is no need to hop on and read their blogs anymore.
